Avery Gammel signs with Olds Broncos

Olds College is excited to welcome Avery Gammel to the Broncos Athletics Women’s Volleyball program. Avery was accepted into the College’s renowned Equine Science program.

“I was so excited to be accepted into the Equine Science program at Olds College,” explains Avery, “it is one of the few schools in Canada that offers the combination of a top level equestrian program along with a women’s volleyball program. I see Olds College as a great fit for me from both an academic and athletic perspective.”

A top prospect, Avery is joining the Broncos Women’s Volleyball team from West Kelowna, BC where she played with the University of British Columbia – Okanagan Junior Heat club team. Avery represented BC at the 2017 Canada Games, 2016 British Columbia Club Provincials, and has been team captain and MVP on her school teams in the past.

“Avery is a one of a kind player that we have extremely high expectations for,” explains Broncos Head Coach Landon Thompson. “She comes to us from a great program, with great coaching, and was raised with very strong family values. We’re tremendously fortunate to have a person like Avery join our program”

Avery’s strengths include a strong blocking ability, and proficiency at setting tough balls with accurate placement. Welcome to the Broncos Avery!
